The fund is named in honor of the late Lise Toch, an artist and passionate supporter of the arts and art education. The fund exists to support and promote art in the region currently defined as the three counties that share borders with Cohoes. (i.e. Albany, Rensselaer and Saratoga counties)

The fund may award money (but is not limited) to:

• purchase of art supplies to enable a student to develop the necessary portfolio for advancement in art education
• pay for materials necessary for classes provided by Choose Cohoes for Art
• pay for classes, related to the arts, offered by other organizations

The fund will not be used to defray the cost of any non-educational events sponsored or organized by Choose Cohoes for Art.
